So I created this beautiful baby shower invitation…. for myself!
The birth of my second son was fast approaching, and I was insisting to do something different and unique for his nursery. I found this beautiful vintage “retro rocket” fabric see here, and my mom sewed some gorgeous details for his room with it… the window valance, the crib sheet, changing table pad & a soft chenille blankie. <3 Anyhow, my mom insisted on throwing me a very small brunch with just family and a few friends, and so I had to create something fun. I know it was my second child, but he deserved some attention too!
This invitation is unique because it pulls open, and the inner card flips up to reveal the invitation details. I chose a deep metallic green & added orange accents along with some robots, and planet inspired cardstock….it turned out just the way I had envisioned.
This invitation is available in a multitude of colors and patterns, and can be turned horizontally and is offered in a square too! Just another fabulous pre-cut item from Envelopments !
One of the things I force (as in make the time for) myself to do, is create my son’s birthday party invitations! I just can’t allow these special moments to escape me, and I seriously have so much fun putting them together. This year, we chose do do a ‘carnival’ theme, complete with popped popcorn in ‘real’ popcorn bags, snow cone machine, and carnival games such as balloon toss through a clowns nose. It added to the experience, as my son was so thrilled to help me do so much this year! needless to say, we had a great time!
This invitation is printed on a grey white, with a platinum silver, then hot orange borders. All the corners are rounded, and each invitation had a fun carnival themed accent on top. I saved the carousel horse for him, since he loves horses! The envelope was an electric blue, and instead of sealing it as I would a normal envelope, I wrapped around a printed band, containing the guests name on the front and my return on the back. I just loved making these & can’t wait to make the next ones.:D
I created this gorgeous baby shower invitation for my fabulous cousin Lisa! She and her wonderful husband are expecting their first child….with the notion of it could be a girl or boy! During this time, we created something that could fit either, and I had a blast putting these together for her.
Well guess what?!? Her little bundle of joy was born over the weekend, and SHE is just absolutely beautiful. Gabriella Rose… and what a miracle she is. She is a knockout already!
The invitation features a peacock blue portable pocket, from envelopments.com as well as the bright ‘envy’ green cardstock. The patterned green paper and 3-D animal stickers as well as the leaf-ribbon helped complete this unique combination of textures and patterns.
With this inventive invitation I have already created another similar invite with different colors and motif!
So I took my son to the Childrens Museum of Phoenix for the first time, and it was SO much fun. It was amazing to see all the unique art and activites they created with mostly recycled items. This was a wall outside the play area to designate where to put your shoes! Thought it was sooo cool how they reused all those baby + kid +adult shoes to make an artistic wall. I didnt even notice it was a wall o’ shoes until I got up close! There are even a couple pairs of socks thrown in there….

Every now and again, I get a little mini-break from weddings to create other fabulous invitations for other life-changing moments.
This is a sample that was used for a client’s baby’s announcement! Her name was also Sophie, but she preferred I photographed the sample rather than her own invite (hence the 2005 date
)
I just love the simple but girly sweet style of this invitation, and the front was accented with a beautiful flower crystal in pink with “Sophie”.
Congratulations on your miracle and I hope you enjoy every moment with her, as they grow sooooo fast!

Fun! I love the font combo and the little carnival icons mixed in.
Thanks Heather! I had so much fun making them
And each invitation had different stickers on them too! Thanks for your comment!
